Obituary for Bennett Sexton
Bennett Sexton, son of the late Ed and Esta Collins Sexton was born February 23, 1933 in Letcher County, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his residence in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 79 years, 1 month and 29 days of age at the time of his passing. He married Zelma June Craft Sexton February 11, 1956 and was also a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. He loves watching NASCAR races and UK basketball and spending time in Tennessee. He also was a coal truck owner and driver. Bennett is survived by his loving wife, Zelma June Sexton of Colson, Kentucky. One son, Kelvin Sexton and wife Teresa of Colson, Kentucky. One daughter, Janetta Barnett and husband Tony of Salyersville, Kentucky. Five brothers: Marvin Sexton of Loiusville, Kentucky; Buddy Sexton; Albert Sexton; andBruce Sexton all of Sandlick, Kentucky; and Jackie Sexton of Isom, Kentucky. Two sisters: Tish Mae Collins of Sandlick, Kentucky and Barb Adams of Sandlick, Kentucky. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Darrick, Eric and Haley and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Voilet Marie Benton; Josie Collins; Hazel Lois Sexton; and Susie Eddie Sexton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.everidgefuneralhome.com
