Obituary for Banner Junior Gibson
Banner Junior Gibson, son of the late J.C. and Polly Bentley Gibson was born November 11, 1963 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Sunday, January 30, 2022 at his residence in Mayking, Kentucky being 58 years, 2 months and 19 days of age at the time of his passing.
Banner was a loving husband, daddy and friend to all that knew him. He enjoyed going to the Letcher County TR at Mayking, Kentucky and spending time with his grandchildren and sons and playing cards at D.L. with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rolanda Gibson of Neon, Kentucky, two sons; J.C. Gibson from Jenkins, Kentucky and Shelby Gibson of Jenkins, Kentucky, two brothers, Johnny (Jennifer) Gibson of Seco, Kentucky and Dan Gibson of Tennessee, two special sisters, Margo Hammonds of Louisville, Kentucky and Starla Mae Hammonds of Neon, Kentucky, brother-in-law, ER Hammonds of Jackhorn, Kentucky, sister-in-law Rose Hammonds, of Mayking, Kentucky.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Chloe Gibson, Jaden Gibson, Nathan and Jake Chaffins and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Can Gibson, mother-in-law, Mary Hammonds, father-in-law, Elmer Hammonds, brother-in-law, Elmo Hammonds.
