Obituary for Astor P. Martin
Astor Pete Martin, son of the late Luther Martin and Lillie Mae Hall was born April 6, 1940 in Democrat, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Thursday, December 29, 2022 at the Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 82 years, 8 months and 23 days of age at the time of his passing.
Astor was a loving brother, uncle, friend to all that knew him. He taught school for several years and published three books.
He is survived by one brother, Curt Mathis of Colson, Kentucky. Four sisters; Virgie Asher of Anderson, Indiana, Louise Gregory of Colson, Kentucky, Betty (Mike) Johnson of Colson, Kentucky and Anita Martin of Colson, Kentucky.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Luther Martin. Three sisters; Mary Lucas, Lucy Martin and Hester Bennett.
