Obituary for Anna Mae Cook
Anna Mae Cook, daughter of the late Thomas Sexton and Virgie Quillen Sexton was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, June 9, 1947. She entered eternal life Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky being 71 years, 10 months and 26 days of age at the time of her passing.
Anna was married to the late Dexter Cook. He passed away in 1984. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend to all that knew her. She was a member of her home church at The Calvary Temple Church of God in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her four daughters, Marie Cook Pryor of Knott County, Kentucky, Geneva Cook Bailey of Manassas, Virginia, Katrina Cook and Rebecca Cornett both of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Three sons, Darrick Cook, Bobby Cook and Larry Cook all of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two sisters, Irene Dyer of Portsmouth, Ohio and Faye Herron of Kingscreek,Kentucky
Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer Sexton, Jack Sexton and Don Sexton. One sister, Gerry Garrett. Two great-grandchildren, Seth Pryor and Payton Morton.
