Obituary for Anna Lee Maggard
Anna Lee Maggard, daughter of the late Henry and Cinda Adams was born at Ermine, Kentucky, December 16, 1941. She entered eternal life Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky, being 81 years, 8 months and 19 days of age at the time of her passing.
Anna married Gurnie Maggard June 16, 1962 in Thornton, Kentucky at the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church. She was a member of Little Colley Regular Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, church, running Maggard's Store for 45 years, and most of all, enjoyed being with her family. Anna also enjoyed sports, especially watching football and supporting Coach Maggard. She was also an avid UK fan.
She is survived by a son, Larry Maggard (Jennifer Hall) of Isom, Kentucky, one daughter, Maronda (Ricky) Gibson of Horse Cave, Kentucky, two sisters, Joyce Ann (Raymond) Thomas of Cowan, Kentucky and Mary Ann (David) Combs of Whitesburg, Kentucky.
Also surviving are five grandchildren: Kelly (Hanna) Gibson of Dixon, Illinois, Kaycee (Kyle) Bunch of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Kandace (Brandon) West of Savannah, Georgia, Charlie (McKenna) Maggard of Winchester, Kentucky, and Emma Grace Maggard of Georgetown, Kentucky. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren Sadie, Lincoln, Delilah, Harper Grace, Grant David, Baby West and Baby Gibson and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
