Obituary for Anita Fay Craft Minton
Anita Fay Craft Minton, was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky July 10, 1952. She died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Lake Craft of Mayking, Kentucky and a sister of the late David Logan, and Linda Kay Craft. Anita loved teaching and spent her career with DeKalb County Schools in Decatur, Georgia. I am sure all have seen pictures of her "children" and heard the stories about them. She was happiest in the classroom, whether that classroom was at school, in her back yard, or in her hospital room. She liked to talk to other patients, meet their famalies, take their pictures and make bulletin boards for them. Anita gave part of herself to everyone she met. We all have a part of her to celebrate her life here today. Surviving are a husband, Russell Minton. One son, Julian and wife Apiwan and their ten month daughter, Abigail Minton of Decatur, Georgia. One brother, Larry Craft of Pawley' s Island, South Carolina. One sister, Elizabeth Sliwka of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. One nephew, John David Sliwka, his wife Suzanne and their two sons, Johnny and Jake of Newton, Pennsylvania.
