Alice Mae (Hush) Hazen, known affectionately as Alice to her friends and family, passed away March 4, 2024, peacefully in Lexington, Kentucky. Alice was born July 26, 1929, in Neon, Kentucky. She is formerly from Cumberland, Kentucky.
Alice was the cherished daughter of the late Idell and Sam Hush and grew up with a close-knit family, including her late siblings Sam Hush, Jr., Dorothy Long, and Mary Jo Crider. She was the beloved wife for 50 years of the late F. N. (Nicey) Hazen.
Alice's legacy continues through her four devoted children: Andrea (Randy) Donaldson, Sam (Glenna) Hazen, Stephanie Hazen Skaff, all of Nashville, Tennessee, and Alicia (Michael) Jordan of Lexington, Kentucky. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Andrew and Joseph Donaldson, Luke (Grace) Hazen, John Hazen, Zachary and Daniel Skaff, Sarah and Jonathan Jordan.
In addition to her immediate family, Alice is survived by her sister, Daisy Hush Tucker, two nieces and eight nephews. She leaves many dear friends to cherish her memory.
Alice was a woman of deep faith. She was a member of Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church, Cumberland, Kentucky
Her warm smile and gentle presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. We are grateful for the loving care given to our mom by her amazing caregivers Crystal, Sandy, Felicia and Jamyra.
The family will hold a private graveside service.
