Obituary for Ada "Banks" Sturgill
Ada Banks Sturgill, daughter of the late Curtis and Gertrude Everidge Banks was born April 12, 1935 at Colson, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital in Hazard, Kentucky being 83 years, 10 months and 4 days of age at the time of her passing.
Ada married Roy Sturgill June 1, 1955. He passed away in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and quilting.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Theresa "Dan" Cook of Summerville, South Carolina. Two brothers, Bennie Banks and Wilgus Banks both of Oxford, Ohio.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Rickey Wade Day, Michael Douglas Rayburn and Matthew Joseph Cook. Seven great-grandchildren, Allison Day, Connor Day, Ethan Day, Michlyn Rayburn, Dylan Rayburn, Ryan Cook and Emma Cook.
