    Timothy Lee Shelby, son of the late James H. Shelby and Alene Bentley Shelby was born in Boyle County, Kentucky June 3, 1955. He entered eternal life Friday, August 2, 2013 in Jenkins, Kentucky being 58 years, 1 month and 28 days of age at the time of his passing.

    Tim was a US veteran having served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service worker. He was a member of the Sons Of The Confederacy. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was a tour guide at the Letcher County Veterans Museum.

    He is survived by his two sons, Timothy P. Shelby of Berea, Kentucky and Cody D. Shelby of Jenkins, Kentucky. One daughter, Sara Shelby of Berea, Kentucky. Four grandchildren, Aiydun James Shelby, Allison E. Shelby, Jaydon Sturgill and Brynna Sturgill.

    Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

    Tim was preceded in death by a grandchild, Alicia Sturgill. One uncle, Jim Bentley.
