Obituary for Kathleen Palumbo
Kathleen W. Palumbo, daughter of the late Richard and Winifred Heyworth Newton was born January 19, 1931 in Bolton, England. She entered eternal life Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky being 85 years, 7 months and 12 days of age at the time of her passing.
Kathleen married John Palumbo Jr May 3, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1978. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, and was also a member of the Pink Ladies for years. She enjoyed bluegrass music, clogging, squaredancing, scrabble, crossword puzzles, UK basketball, Whitesburg Girls Basketball, and spending time with family and friends. Kathleen was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by three sons; John Palumbo III of Charleston, South Carolina, Wayne Palumbo of Ashland, Kentucky and Bryan Palumbo & wife Rene of Versailles, Kentucky. Five grandchildren; Alison Palumbo of Portland, Oregon, Alex Palumbo of Louisville, Kentucky, Jessica Palumbo of Versailles, Kentucky, Zachary Palumbo of Richland, Washington and Ezekiel Palumbo of Versailles, Kentucky.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Richard Palumbo.
