Obituary for Bob Metts
Bob Metts, son of the late Robert Warren, Sr and Iva Youngman Metts was born in Port Orange, Florida April 18, 1929. He entered eternal life Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 87 years, 4 months and 16 days of age at the time of his passing.
Bob was an US Airforce Veteran having served during the Korean War era. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cookouts and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Evelyn Diane (Larry) Watts of Bottomfork, Kentucky, Wanda (Tom) Chumley of Radcliff, Kentucky and Toni L. (Jim) Parmenter of Marysville, Ohio. Two sons, Gary W. (Vickie) Metts of Nixa, Missouri and Glenn A. Metts of Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands. One sister, Carolyn Wood of Fort Myers, Florida.
Also survivng are 16 grandchildren, Micah, Aaron, Stephen, Nicholas, Jeremy, Lorrie, Tracy, Robby, Kris, Kelly, Shaun, Marty, Deanna, Brandon, Michaela and Andrew, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Bob is preceded in death by one brother, William D. Metts. Four sisters, Ernestine McCormick, Irene McCormick, Iva Mae Turner and Roberta Crews.
